Description
MSericite® 800-P for Paints & Coating
MSericite® 800-P Minerals is a white, micronized sericite mica. It exhibits perfect toughness, good electrical insulation, good wear resistance, excellent acid & alkali resistance and a large radius-thickness ratio (>80).
MSericite® 800-P can be used in paint in a variety of ways. Generally,
it is recommended to mix MSericite® 800-P with a binder such as acrylic or oil paint, and then add a small amount of water to create a paste. This paste can then be added to the paint to create a more opaque, shimmery finish. The ratio of MSericite® 800-P to binder and water will depend on the desired effect.
MSericite® 800-P is often used in oil-based paints to provide a smooth, glossy finish. It is also used to reduce the amount of oil needed in the paint, which can help to reduce costs
MSericite® 800-P can help reduce oil consumption in oil-based paint by up to 20%. This is because MSericite® 800-P is a lightweight mineral that helps to reduce the viscosity of the paint, allowing it to spread more easily and evenly. This reduces the amount of oil needed to achieve the desired finish.
MSericite® 800-P can provide flexibility from the paint. It is a natural mineral that is often used as an extender in paint and other coatings. It helps to reduce the cost of the paint while also providing a smoother finish and improved flexibility.
